Get Balance and Spend Limits

Retrieves the available account balance and the spend limits of the current API key and its workspace. This endpoint is not billed.

Field visibility#

Each field is returned only if the current key is permitted to view it; otherwise it is omitted.

The account balance and workspace limits belong to the organization as a whole and are not returned to keys owned by regular members.

Amounts and periods#

• Amounts are decimal strings in USD, such as "48.25". Use decimal arithmetic to avoid floating-point errors.
• balance is the available balance, net of amounts held for tasks in progress and expired promotional credit.
• keyQuota and quota are reported for four periods: total (lifetime), day, week and month. For periods without a cap, limit and remaining are null.

Spendable amount#

The spendable amount is what the current key can actually spend. It is the smallest of the following, and never less than 0:

• the available account balance;
• the remaining spend limit of the key;
• the remaining spend limit of the workspace.

Each item is included only if the current key is permitted to view it, as described in Field visibility. If none is visible, the spendable amount is treated as unlimited. Member spend limits are not included in the calculation but still apply to requests.

The balance returned by the relay compatibility endpoints is the spendable amount.
